Special Care Baby has the great pleasure in thanking one of Scotland's  most prolific, and controversial, footballers as our main celebrity supporter.

Mr Frank McAvennie!

Frank McAvennie knows all about scoring - goals and women. He's an expert. A cult figure on the streets of Glasgow and London, the original and lasting lads' hero footballer.  Frank's life is full of sporting highs, beautiful women, outrageous acts, and keeping company with the stars.

It was our great delight, to have Frank attend the Gala Dinner in 2008, and from then Frank has kindly supported our charity, and indeed our cause.  Taken completely by surprise, he found himself humbled by the plight of the 8000 plus, premature and sick babies in Scotland.

We offer our thanks to Mr McAvennie for his support and hope that he will continue to work with us and raise the profile, not only of Special Care Baby, but the reason we exist.
